Principal Investigator

Dr. Amine Choukou is Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Manitoba and Adjunct Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program. He investigates the best ways to deploy smart technology and services to help older adults live independently with dignity, thereby reducing caregiver burden and improving healthcare allocation and service provision. Dr. Choukou graduated from Université Paris Sud with a PhD in Human Kinetics and followed an intensive research training in international research centers in France (SSMMH Doctoral School, Paris Area) and Quebec (CIRRIS). He Joined U of Manitoba in 2018.
